~~THE SHARP VL-E780U 8MM CAMCORDER~~STOP! I DON'T HAVE MY MAKEUP ON!

Many years ago, we owned one of those conventional camcorders that were quite large, heavy, and cumbersome to use, not to mention painful on the shoulder after an extended recording period. While I liked being able to take a standard VHS cassette...

Lightweight ; small in size ; easy to record images with the large LCD monitor screen

Cannot pop an 8mm cassette tape directly into the VCR for instant viewing

A very handy cam!

My wife and I looked at a lot of camcorders before we made our selection. The features we were looking for were price, small size, light weight, large color LCD screen and ease of controls. I didn't want to have to look through a view-finder and take...

Very happy with this choice

I had borrowed a friend's camcorder and hated squinting at the tiny viewfinder. I knew I wanted a Sharp camcorder, but I didn't know which one. After a little online research, I decided the 4 inch LCD screen made this one the way to go.

big LCD screen, long zoom, sturdy

microphone useless in the wind

My New Best Friend

Spring Break 2000 would have been worthless if I didn't have any of my memories captured on tape. Being very compact, I never had to worry about looking like I was taping the evening news. I bought this camera from a friend of mine at Ritz camera who...

I was in the market for a compact, anybody can use, camcorder that wouldn't take up too much space. I needed something to record my barrel racing which occurs in any number of lighting conditions. I chose to by the Sharp Viewcam. The picture quality of...

I'm very glad we bought it!

I did quite a bit of research before I decided which camcorder to purchase. My husband and I bought it right before we were married so that we could tape our wedding and our honeymoon. It's been a great purchase. We've used it for all kinds of events -...

flip feature for shots of yourself and kids love it, it's easy to use, a good price for what you get

outside noise, digital image stabilization is kind of worthless

Easy as 1, 2, 3

I bought this recorder because it is lightweight, and the LCD screen makes it so easy to use. It is the first video camera I've ever used, and would not hesitate to get another when necessary. Most cameras are large, bulky and very heavy.

4" LCD. Great, but not in Chicago.

Received it as a wedding gift a year ago. Love the 4" Screen, and the coolness factor of the swivel. The title feature wears off quickly, with no font selection. The zoom works well, but gets pretty choppy if you're moving. Which brings me to the...

Great picture, sound indoors, 4", options

Horrible wind sound.
