Panasonic PV-GS39 review: Panasonic PV-GS39

Panasonic PV-GS39

Superb zoom reach; excellent battery life; simple controls; true wide-screen recording.

Poor still quality; nonintuitive icons for manual settings; grainy footage.

With its extreme zoom range and its low price, the Panasonic PV-GS39 is a good choice for shooting distant subjects.

Panasonic PV-GS39 Camcorder Review

The new Panasonic PV-GS39 (MSRP $349), which was unveiled at CES less than a month ago, aims to uphold the high standards that Panasonic set forth in their 2005 PV-GS series. As a 1 chip camcorder standing smack in the middle between the new GS19 and...

As our first full review of 2006, we're glad to see that the feature-heavy traditions of lower-end MiniDV Panasonics have not been lost. Of course, we always like to see improvements, but the PV-GS35 was a big favorite of ours last year, as was the...

My humble opinion

After reading many reviews of the gs (29 to 59) series, I was surprised to see such problems by the other epinions reviewers when connecting to Windows XP Home. I purchased a used gs39 one from EBAY a few days ago, and I needed to check out all the ...

Impressive zoom numbers, small, light, well made, convenient control, good manual override

Slightly grainy, sparkly video, microphone sensitive to camera handling, operator breathing

This is a great camcorder/camera. Can't beat the price i got it for and the features and all too easy, can't wait to take it with me on a summer vacation. So light to travel with. It's exactly what i was looking for. Thanks Radio Shack!
