LG 360 CAM

The 360 CAM is LG's VR-shooting camera, launched ostensibly as a "friend" to the G5 phone alongside its 360 VR headset. But owning a LG phone isn't a prerequisite, and you could even use the 360 CAM with an iPhone, or indeed on its own – although this...

The LG 360 CAM ups the virtual-reality video quality a notch, and reduces the cost too.

LG 360 Cam review

The portable 360-degree VR camera sized for your pocket

Incredibly compact design ; Makes 360-degree captures easy ; 4GB of internal storage

Weak VR ecosystem ; Battery isn't swappable ; No microphone jack

The LG 360 Cam fits so much technology into a tiny form factor, with dual 13MP lenses and a surprising 4GB of internal storage. Samsung has the better virtual reality suite, but this camera and its protective app could better a better fit for...

LG 360 Cam: Capture your VR world

LG has made a big bang with the launch of the LG G5 at Mobile World Congress 2016. Among the LG Friends - a range of devices designed to work seamlessly with the new LG G5 - is the LG 360 Cam.

LG 360 Cam review

Making VR videos just got a lot simpler with LG's compact 360-degree snapper

Works with pretty much any Android device ; Idiot-proof design ; Makes capturing 360 content easy

A little too pricy ; Patchy image quality

Image quality isn’t stellar, but this is currently one of the best and easiest ways to make 360-degree and VR content

LG's 360 Cam makes it easy to take 360-degree photos and videos

The camera's not perfect, but it is pretty affordable and simple to use.

Easy to use ; Cheap (for a consumer 360-degree camera)

Buggy software ; Picture quality could be better

The LG 360 Cam is currently a solid choice if you want a hassle-free way to create 360-degree content.

LG 360 Cam review

The current crop of 360-degree cameras have one thing in common: They're expensive at upward of $350. LG's 360 Cam is the one exception at the moment coming in at a more reasonable $200 (£200, AU$400).

The LG 360 Cam is an easy-to-use and comparatively inexpensive 360-degree point-and-shoot camera. It's compact and its clever case doubles as a handgrip. Its mobile app lets you preview and review your shots as well as control the camera. You can shoot...

Requires a microSD card that's not included. Photos and videos have to be downloaded to your phone or computer before they can be viewed. The battery is built in. No editing options for photos or video in the mobile app or desktop software. Limited...

The LG 360 Cam makes it easy and relatively inexpensive to capture 360-degree photos and video, but simple editing and a lot of sharing options aren't part of the picture yet.

LG 360-degree mobile camera

LG 360 CAM mobile camera : With the announcement of the LG 360 CAM at Mobile World Congress last month, LG Electronics expects to see an increase in interest in creating and sharing 360-degree visual content using mobile devices. With the introduction...

LG 360 Cam review: Making VR footage has never been easier

The LG 360 Cam is a pocket-sized 360-degree VR camera with dual 13-megapixel, 206-degree fisheye lenses, one on the front and one on the back. When you take a photo or video, the camera stitches both images together into an immersive 360-degree shot....

Small and light form factor ; Easy to use ; Affordable

Smartphone app pretty much essential ; No internal storage ; No starter microSD card in the package ; Image quality could be better

Right now, the LG 360 Cam is the easiest and most affordable way to start making immersive VR content, both for photos and videos. The pocket-size form factor and familiar and easy-to-use camera app makes it convenient and fun to shoot with and carry...

LG 360 CAM review: A relatively fun way to capture the whole world

Some software quirks aside, LG's entry into the 360-degree video and photography world is a fun little way to show off everything that's going on around you — and it works on iOS or Android.

It's easy to read that previous section and get discouraged. There clearly are so things that need to be worked out in software — and that's not even counting that Wifi Direct is kind of a pain to begin with.
