Kodak Zi6 review

Kodak's high definition video recorder gets it right where it matters

Good video and audio quality ; Mini-charger for batteries ; Macro mode

Tiny internal memory ; No supplied memory card ; Can pick up audio background noise

A very worthy choice for HD video recording in your pocket - the video quality is good and that's what's most important

Kodak Zi6 camcorder

We were eager to put the Zi6 through its paces following the First Look from Photokina in September. Having lived with the diminutive camcorder for a while longer, how does it fare: can it offer anything above and beyond the dinky Flip or Vado? The Zi6...

Video quality, simplicity, rechargeable batteries and charger supplied

Size, no memory card supplied, not so good in low light conditions

The Zi6 has a serious look to it and this follows through to the result themselves. This is where potential buyers need to consider their needs carefully. Are you primarily looking for online sharing? Do you find yourself playing back these video files...

Kodak Zi6 camcorder - First Look

The Zi6 has already been launched state-side, but with a strong interest in this new class of camcorder, it is no surprise to see it being quickly introduced this side of the pond. But can Kodak push the likes of the Flip and the Creative Vado aside?...

Ease of use, HD, removable media

Size, starting to get expensive

Kodak Zi6 review

Kodak's Zi6 predates the ZX1 by a few months. It offers the advantage of an SDHC slot, plus 128MB of internal memory.

The Kodak Zi6 is well-built and feels substantial. We liked its large, responsive buttons and controls. However, there’s no USB extension cable or removable SD/SDHC Card provided in the box and the mono microphone picks up operational noise.

Kodak Zi6 review

While the Creative Vado, Flip Ultra and soon to be released Mino all have peerless YouTube credentials, they're all missing one thing: hi-def recording. That hasn't escaped the attention of Kodak photowizards – they've waved their wands and produced a...

Kodak Zi6 Camcorder

Much to my surprise this bigger unit was launched before the Zx1 that I reviewed earlier this year (10-6-09). For some reason it was long after the Zx1 that I found out about it. So what does it have going for it apart from a larger screen?

This unit was far from new when it arrived and certain of the items were missing. However as it works on the same principle as the so I was able to use it without problem. Not only is the screen larger but to accommodate that so is everything else....

Kodak Zi6 camcorder review

For a pocket camcorder, Kodak's Zi6 Pocket Video Camera has a ton of features and shoots video with surprisingly bright colours. UPDATED - MAY 1 2009.

The Kodak Zi6 is well-built and feels substantial. We liked its large, responsive buttons and controls. However, there's no USB extension cable or removable SD/SDHC Card provided in the box and the mono microphone picks up operational noise.
