You can hear the zoom control when it is used on the footage - not much, but you know it's there.

Light. It does not sing and dance but remarkabe how easy it is to use and how effective it is compared to my old 12 year old one. Will get use I am sure. Fun filming our kids playing in the recent snow.

Given small size cannot quire get my hand and thumb co-ordinated for single hand use. perhaps with practice it will come. No lens cap?

This JVC Cam Corder is excellent, small, easy to use and no complicated buttons on the menu options.

I havn't found the fade button when ending filming, probably isn't one.
