JVC GY-HD100

It's time to stop dreaming and drooling. Anyone who has been waiting for a professional level HDV solution can get their fix, now.

Manual Iris, Shutter, Zoom, Focus (with Standard 16x lens), Motion Smooth, Advanced Image Processing, Macro view is easy to set

Gain is pretty noisy, Auto Iris noisier than some

Definitely a Camera for Indy Movie-Makers

I was excited to get my hands on the HD100. I have used several prosumer-level JVC cameras in the past (X2, DV500, DV5000) and I wanted to see what JVC could do with the new HDV format. I can honestly say that they have done quite well. Let me first ...

High quality, film-like image capture, great audio circuitry, easy to use controls

ND filters not enough, too light for my taste, battery life, inaccurate LCDs.

Excellent prosumer camera with pro features & feel

I find this an excellent camera for someone used to working with professional video cameras costing much more. The main reason I bought this camera is because it looks and feels much like the Betacams I have used for years. It has a pro-style lens with...

Lens, XLR in, timecode, color bars, ND settings, component video, HD, setup options.

Many settings only accessible through viewfinder, battery, no 1080p, no crt viewfinder.
