JVC GZ-MG70U Review

JVC did not hit a home run with the GZ-MG70U, more like a double.

Oregon Scientific ATC Chameleon action cam is fun, but flawed

The ; action cam puts two cameras in one splash-proof body, allowing you to capture two different angles simultaneously for one video. It's simple to use. A tripod mount is included, so you can use it with more than the small selection of available...

The Chameleon does nothing else other than create videos with two different camera angles, and only creates split-screen movies. Video quality is merely OK, lacking detail and quite gelatinous.

The dual-camera Oregon Scientific ATC Chameleon is a good idea, but the execution and the overall feature set are lacking.

JVC Everio GZ-MG70U

Stores tons of video; very small; fast transfer of video to your computer.

Terrible battery life; inconsistent microphone performance; subpar video quality; requires a computer or stand-alone DVD burner for video transfer.

A mediocre camera in many respects, the JVC Everio GZ-MG70 is nevertheless worth consideration due to its small size and massive video storage capacity.

Camcorder Review: JVC Everio GZ-MG70 Hard Disk Camcorder

Remember the days when the term "hard disk drive" was simply associated with personal computers? As the list of solid-state memory camcorders that have gigabyte capacity continues to grow, the JVC Everio GZ-MG70 is definitely a notable player in the...

In the end, casual shooters will find the JVC Everio GZ-MG70 hard disk camcorder to be a great non-tape based solution. The mere fact that you can record a little over 7 hours of footage at the highest quality makes this incredibly convenient for...
