Great pictures, flash really lights things up. Camcorder and camera worked in a dimly lit auditorium and everything came out great. I really only need one thing in my bag, instead of lugging around a camcorder and a camera.

Expect to pick up an extra battery. Battery life is average/poor on the battery shipped with the camcorder. With an extra battery you never have to worry.

The picture is great and as good as my "HDR-FX1" HD camera. Very easy to use, 60GB is plenty. Get an extra battery. I also like the special effects and the clips can be easily transferred or burn to a DVD or CD and can be playback on Blu-ray player.

Poor picture quality indoor with visible Artifacts . Eats up battery fast. Somehow video recording on to Memory Stick, I can only get up to 9 MB/s
