Canon Legria HFR36

While the HFR36 is a cheap camcorder, you definitely get what you pay for.

Well priced ; Inclusion of Wi-Fi connectivity

Flimsy build quality ; Video quality not great ; Frustrating interface and menus

While the HFR36 is a cheap camcorder, you definitely get what you pay for. Obviously, this is both a good thing and a bad thing; while it won't hurt your wallet too much, you may be left wanting on video quality. If you want to take your filming more...

Canon Legria HFR36

I bought this camera to shoot a wedding and overall, wasn't dissappointed. None of the build quality issues the review mentions, the body is solid, the tiny size, I think, is a bonus. Yes, the menus aren't particularly straight forward, but 15 minutes...

3.2MP chip, proper HD, good build quality, decent picture

Terrible battery life, night time shots noisy

Excellent video quality from a base HD camcorder

It is an excellent HD camcorder for $300. The video quality is very good (far better than my 2 year old Sony DCR-SR47E for almost doubled price). The best part is that it can record directly to mp4 format (4/9 MP, I normally set to 4 MP which is ideal...

Value for money, very sharp video image, mp4, wifi to PC / iPad directly, SD card slot, very light to carry.

Battery life, no view finder (very hard to see anything at bright spot), a bit blurry when panning fast.
