You can pretty much get going straight away, really light and excellent picture quality, very easy to plug into tv using the Hdmi and of course a refund from canon as well would definately recommend ,built in memory seems really good using it all over...

The only bad point is the battery life does not seem so good had to. Charge a lot for the time of use a bit shocked about that!

Built in hard drive let you start using the camcorder straight from the box, twin cards also enable flexibility. Camcorder is light, touch screen interface is great once accustomed to its operation. Very pleased with purchase - first Canon after always...

Great touch screen, very light, battery lasts for 1hr 30mins when fully charged which id say is pretty good. Overall all great value for money

Being a bit picky, I expected the image when on a large screen (40" plasma) to be a little crisper as it films in HD. However I am being picky with that comment and the quality is good. Put it this way, I would definitely buy it again if spending that...
