Canon HF10

The HF10 is Canon's first flash-based Full HD AVCHD camcorder and it looks set to make a big impression.

Without a doubt, the HF10 is the best AVCHD camcorder yet produced by any manufacturer. It's not perfect in every respect, but it ticks more than enough boxes to be highly desirable as a serious video tool or point-and-shoot camcorder companion. With...

Canon HF10 review

The HF10 is almost as small as Panny's SD9 but packs 16GB of flash. Has Canon found the perfect HD camcorder compromise?

Shoots better than camcorders twice its size without compromising too much on storage. The bar’s been raised again

Canon Vixia HF10 camcorder review

In our testing, Canon's Vixia HF10 shot impressive, brilliant video, up to par with its similar MiniDV counterpart, Canon's Vixia HV30. The HF10 has a few minor flaws, but it's a fine choice for Mac users eager to leave MiniDV tape behind.

The HF10’s impressive video quality and ease of use add up to a very good camcorder, especially given its size. If size is a consideration for you, the HF10 is the right tapeless camcorder; if size doesn’t matter, another good choice is Sony’s HDR-SR11.

Canon HF 10

The HF10 is the best AVCHD camcorder yet

The HF10 has a unique feature, too. It’s the first HD camcorder to come with a copious quantity of Flash memory built in – 16GB to be exact. This is enough for two hours of footage even at the top quality mode, and there’s a SDHC slot available, too,...

Canon HF10 review

While a little clumsy to handle, the Canon HF10 shoots stellar HD video.

Shoots stellar HD video, works smoothly with the Mac, includes microphone jack and accessory shoe

A bit clumsy to handle, battery life is unimpressive, still-image colours look eerie

The HF10’s impressive video quality and ease of use add up to a very good camcorder, especially given its size. If size matters to you, the HF10 is the right choice; if size doesn’t matter, another good choice is Sony’s HDR-SR11.

Canon HF10

Canon cracks the AVCHD format with the best flash-based camcorder we've seen, but can it overhaul the excellent HDV-based HV20?

Canon - HF10 HD

In its digital camcorder catalogue, Canon has now completed the quartet, following the release of the DVD-based HR10, the 'record straight to hard drive' HG10 and the MiniDV-centred HV30. Although Canon has taken its time to ...

Ultra compact yet bristling with features, Canon's entry into the flash-based camcorder market is a striking success with its powerful sensor, onboard technologies and impressively high picture quality even in low level conditions.
