Canon DC22 Camcorder Review

The Canon DC22 is a user-friendly digital DVD camcorder that records stunning quality widescreen movies direct to DVD. One-handed operation and a 2.2 Megapixel CCD make advanced technology effortless.

Flash photography is possible with the Canon DC22′s built-in flash.

Canon DC22 fires top shot

The DC22 is Canon's mid-range DVD camcorder. While many DVD camcorders at this price point aren't known for their image quality, Canon has bucked this...

Canon DC22 Camcorder Review

The Canon DC22 ($699), a late-2006 introduction, falls in between the high-end DC40 and the entry-level DC100. We were pleased to find that it is a successful marriage of the two, borrowing the manual controls of the DC40 with the portability and size...

Canon DC22

Simple to use with good quality results. Plenty of options, but how many I'll end up actually using is debatable!

I found the manual's description for recording from VCR to the camera a little confusing - but maybe that's me!

DC22- Full of features

Buy at least one extra battery and a charger. A battery can be charged in the camcorder, but who wants to sit and wait for the charge to complete when you could be out having some fun with a very nice camcorder.

The DC22 is small and easy to handle. The widescreen LCD is easy to see when recording, even in bright sunlight. It's quite easy to pop in a DVD and begin recording (after you charge the battery)without any knowledge of all of the extra features packed...

If you're into attempting to use some of the built-in features of the DC22, the Canon manual is difficult to follow and the Canon tech support leaves something to be desired....but trial & error will get you there

Not so impressive..

Using one for little more than 6 months.. the battery life is really bad it'll last just for 20-25 min and some of the options like still camera mode is not easy.. I think the quality of the video is reasonable. Next time I would like to buy a...
