Sony BDP-S590
The ; has built-in Wi-Fi, 3D compatibility, and an ample suite of streaming-media services, including Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant, Pandora, and Vudu. It's also the sleekest Blu-ray player I've seen this year, with a well-designed remote that...
Sony's user interface isn't as intuitive as those from some competitors, especially the interfaces for Amazon Instant and Hulu Plus. It's also relatively slow at loading discs, taking almost twice as long as some competitors.
The Sony BDP-S590 is a great-looking Blu-ray player with built-in Wi-Fi, 3D compatibility, and tons of streaming-media apps, but it's slow to load discs and has some user interface quirks.

No matter how you feel about Sony, it's hard to deny that the company has a knack for product design. The Sony BDP-S590 ($140 street price) falls right in line with that tradition, as it's the only Blu-ray player I've seen this year that actually looks...

Low price and great features combine to make the Sony BDP-S590 a great-value smart Blu-ray player.
Very good DVD/Blu-ray picture performance ; Good range of smart functions ; Excellent value for money ; Wi-Fi for convenient connectivity
Ideally should have force film mode for video processing
In the end, the Sony BDP-S590 is pretty much at the ideal price point and feature level. It has all the basics and most of the advanced stuff to fulfill most people's needs, yet still costs less than AU$200.

The Sony BDP-S590 is a good Blu-ray player, with built-in Wi-Fi, 3D support, and fast performance. It has a few minor video processing issues, and its on-player controls feel flimsy, keeping it from the top-tier. At $129.99, however, it's a solid...

The Swiss Army Knife of Blu-ray players, packed with surprises for a very affordable price.
Sony's BDP-S590 seems a little on the small side, but wow wee -- they certainly packed a lot into this little player. It offers a mind-boggling amount of entertainment. Of course, it's still a Blu-ray player first and foremost, and it does that very...

Great online features, easy to set up, netflix and lovefilm. It's blu ray so the picture quality is always nice but that is more about the TV then the player. Connects easily to my nas box.
No channel 4 or itv players for catch up. Not essential but it would have been nice to have at least seen it.
