So I got my Samsung simply because the Best Buy I went to had virtually nothing else in stock and I needed a new BD player. I must say I wasn't disappointed at all with my purchase. There were initially a few things here or there to be nit-picky about...

Great picture quality and audio options. Sleek looking player with nice remote set up. USB and ethernet port in back for updates and 1GB internal memory. Netflix streaming

Really annoying bonus view icons need to be turned off. No wireless option for updates. Firmware updates only cause more problems

HQV upscaling and HQV Blu-ray stability makes it one of the best looking Blu-ray players

The best upconversion of DVD from any player thanks to the unsurpassed capabilities of the HQV chip, passed every video test thrown at it for standard and hidef viewing, one of the fastest loading players once turned on second to the ps3, standard and...

Just slightly noisy on start up, DTS-HDMA can be bitstreamed through analog but not decoded through HDMI but rumors are abound saying it will be in an upcoming firmware

Samsung is notorious for its bad Customer Service. Befor buying this player visit the BD P-1200, BD P-1400, and BD P-1500 Forums. It's important to know how you will be treated if something goes wrong with your player.

When Samsung players work they give you a great picture

When Samsung players don't work, it can take months before you can play your favorite BD movie
