Samsung's Blu-ray player a great buy

The Samsung BD-F5900 is an excellent Blu-ray player with the right mix of usability, performance, and speed, making it a highly recommendable purchase.

The ; offers a wealth of features and incredibly speedy performance; suite of apps is very good and the interface is easy to use; image quality is as good if not better than that of similarly priced players.

CD ripping is slow and limited; some ever-so-slight issues with cadence; Quick Start mode uses almost as much electricity when off as when playing a disk.

The Samsung BD-F5900 is an excellent Blu-ray player with the right mix of usability, performance, and speed.

Samsung BD-F5900 Blu-ray Player

I really wish the Samsung BD-F5900 had better DVD performance since it would make for an easy recommendation. As it is, it performs well with Blu-ray content and is a great streaming player, and so if that is the only content you plan to use, I'd say...

Samsung BD-F5900 Blu-ray 3D Player

DaintyOne of the first things you sacrifice with a budget Blu-ray player is build quality. At 4 pounds, there are teacup Chihuahuas that outweigh this baby, but you can't have it all when you're on a tight budget. Compared with other players in its...

"Worst Netflix Streaming Ever But Great Bluray playback!"

As far as I am concerned this is only really good for actual Bluray and DVD playback. If you want Netflix or Plex look elsewhere because this one I have sucks. Yes its fast, but what use is it if your constantly told videos are not available or Cinavia...

When it does stream, it will do 5800 kbps 1080p even though the TV is only a 720p set. This really isn't a Pro because it is wasting bandwidth when it does this. However, the picture is fantastic at the same time. lol

Constantly says Netflix videos are not available and to try again later. Even though same videos work on other devices. As much as it pains me I will just rip all movies and put them on our WHS instead. This thing likes to Reboot randomly as well.
