Panasonic DMP-BDT210

Panasonic brings the brilliance of the DMP-BDT310 to a lower price point with this excellent 3D Blu-ray deck.

Excellent pictures ; Loads of features ; Intuitive operating system

Viera Cast content could be better ; 2D conversion not always effective ; Expensive Skype camera

If you want 3D and HD audio but your AV receiver lacks HDMI v1.4 inputs, then the flagship DMP-BDT310’s dual HDMI outputs will be a godsend. But if your receiver is 3D-ready then why not save yourself some cash and pick up the BDT210 instead. The...

Panasonic DMP-BDT210 review

Blu-ray player Product of the Year 2011. The Panasonic DMP-BDT210 Blu-ray player will give you cracking pictures at an affordable price

Pristine images ; good DVD upscaling ; clear, dynamic sound ; wi-fi ; easy to use

No multichannel analogue outputs ; average selection of online content

Blu-ray player Product of the Year 2011. A cracking player. Panasonic seems incapable of making a bad 3D Blu-ray player

Panasonic DMP-BDT210 review

The Panasonic DMP-BDT210 has almost everything you could want in a Blu-ray Disc player. It sends great-looking images to an HDTV - in 2D and in 3D. It has a huge selection of streaming Internet services built in, with more on the way. It can play media...

The Panasonic DMP-BDT210 has a few issues. But considering this player's excellent image quality and superb selection of Internet options, those issues are easy to overlook.

The remote control is small but sturdy, and it offers a nice grip. Some of the buttons are too tiny, but the play-control buttons (Play, Pause, Skip, and so on) are nicely placed, as is the circle of arrow buttons. Netflix and Skype buttons take you...

Panasonic DMP-BDT210 Review: A Great All-Around Blu-ray Player

The Panasonic DMP-BDT210 has almost everything you could want in a Blu-ray player. It sends great-looking images to an HDTV--in 2D and in 3D. It has a huge selection of streaming Internet services built in, with more on the way. It can play media files...

3D with depth-perception settings ; Superior selection of Internet apps ; Excellent image quality

Supports few multimedia file formats ; Front flap doesn't close ; Annoying home-screen animation

The DMP-BDT210 produces excellent images in both 2D and 3D, and it offers a fantastic selection of Internet entertainment. And at $160, it's reasonably priced for a 3D player, even if it is a bit clumsy to use.

Panasonic DMP-BDT210 review

Editors' note : Several user reviews have mentioned problems with Netflix streaming on the Panasonic DMP-BDT210, which we did not experience during our review. For more information, read our blog about the issue .

The Panasonic DMP-BDT210 has built-in Wi-Fi, a simple user interface, and an excellent suite of streaming-media services, including Netflix, Amazon Instant, Vudu, Pandora, Skype, and CinemaNow. The DMP-BDT210 also has the fastest overall disc-loading...

The Panasonic DMP-BDT210 has fewer overall streaming services than some competitors, missing some high-profile services like Hulu Plus and MLB.TV. It also lacks onboard memory for accessing BD-Live features.

The Panasonic DMP-BDT210's built-in Wi-Fi, simple user interface, Amazon Instant streaming, and blazing fast disc-loading speeds make it our favorite Blu-ray player of 2011 so far.

Panasonic DMP-BDT210 3D Blu-ray Player

Sales figures for home theater components are not something I really pay attention to. I’d much rather own something that works great than to have what’s popular, or to have my opinion influenced by sales numbers. However, I’d be willing to bet...

If you’ve read the whole review, or looked at the bench data, you can probably guess where I stand. While the benchmark player out there is still the Oppo 93/95, many people don’t want to spend $500 or more on a Blu-ray player. For people that want a...
