Panasonic's DMP-BD35 is a fantastic entry-level Blu-ray disc player.

Very good picture quality, stylish, good price, Blu-ray Live

DVD up-scaling produces mixed results, no 7.1 analog audio outputs

If you're in the market for a Blu-ray player and you don't want to spend too much, the Panasonic DMP-BD35 represents excellent value for money.

The energy-efficient Panasonic DMP-BD35 Blu-ray player delivers an admirable picture but handles discs slowly.

1080p24 DVD upconversion. Energy-efficient. Can automatically update firmware.

Panasonic DMP-BD35 - Blu-ray disc player

Excellent image quality on Blu-ray Discs; Profile 2.0 compliant; onboard decoding for all high-resolution soundtrack formats, plus bit-stream output.

PlayStation 3 offers much more functionality and faster navigation, although it costs more.

The Panasonic DMP-BD35 represents the best value in standalone Blu-ray players, with excellent image quality, a comprehensive feature set, and a price that's significantly lower than the PS3.
