LG's BP620 3D Blu-ray player offers tons of features for a modest price.
Impressive picture quality, Good range of Smart apps, Excellent user interface
Could be more responsive when dealing with Smart apps, Doesn't allow you to add Premium apps to the shortcut menu

Editors' note: This review also takes into account a new rating category, Value, in which this Blu-ray player receives a 7.
The LG BP620 has built-in Wi-Fi, 3D compatibility, and LG's Smart TV suite of streaming-media services, which includes Netflix, Hulu Plus, Pandora, and Vudu. The user interface for the Smart TV services is the best on any Blu-ray player this year.
The BP620 lacks Amazon Instant streaming, and several other services (MLB.TV, MOG) aren't available yet. The remote doesn't have dedicated buttons for Netflix or to jump right to the Smart TV services. And the step-down BP320 is a slightly better deal...
If you want 3D, the LG BP620 has most of the right features, but the absence of Amazon Instant and a dedicated Netflix button hurt its value a bit.

LG's top 3D Blu-ray player has the Smarts we've been looking for
Quick to respond to inputs ; Simple but attractive and intuitive interface ; Excellent range of features and apps
No rear USB port ; Some interface niggles
As 3D, Smart Blu-ray players go, the LG BP620 is one of the best. It’s not especially expensive, it’s got all the features we want, and it’s generally easy to use and quick to operate. Apart from a few small issues with the interface, we found the...

The LG BP620 is one of the best budget Blu-ray players we've seen this year, with tons of features and fast performance for just $150.
Blazingly fast. Built-in Wi-Fi. 3D support. Full of networking features.
Video processing doesn't quite beat all comers. Online services menu is slightly awkward.

The SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) requires mutual fund companies to tell investors that a fund's past performance does not necessarily predict future results—and the same could be said of Blu-ray players. In the case of LG, I've had the...
After my experience with the LG BD690 last year, I wasn’t exactly looking forward to auditioning the BP620. Thankfully, it hasn’t given me any trouble and is a great budget player with some minor flaws. Its clunky interface, middling DVD performance,...
