LG BP250 review

The LG BP250 is a back-to-basics Blu-ray player that lacks smart-TV apps and can't play 3D Blu-rays. It has USB connectivity to play stored videos, photos and music, and will play CDs and DVDs, too - but that's your lot.

LG BP250 review

If you want a Blu-Ray player that plays disks and ... well, nothing else really, then the LG BP250 is a good, cheap choice. It has no 3D capability, but will upscale DVDs to Full 1080p HD. For the price, you really can't go wrong.

Blu-Ray players don't really get any cheaper than this! For around £50 you get a player that supports 2D Blu-Ray and DVD, and if that's all you need, there's no point in paying more. Asked by john from Australia on 8th Jan 2017 Asked by Khalid from Uk...

Excellent quality viewingt

This works really well with OLEDs, and the DVD upscaling is great. The player looks basic (and could do with a display on the front), but it is well priced and does everything needed other than being smart capable - and there's no point paying extra...
