"easy user interface, dual tuner recording."

In my case, the warranty is worthwhile.

free set up and install, reluctantly I agreed to the $6/mo service warranty.

Without the service warranty, dish will send you a replacement at standard shipping only, expect a substantial downtime.

"Somewhat Okay, When It Works (which is rarely)..."

If you like replacing equipment, spending hours talking to tech support, paying $507 for a leased DVR you'll never own, watching TV in nothing better than 1080i and losing all of your recordings every so often then this and Dish are for you. I spent 10...

Can use external drive to supplement storage size.

On 3rd 722 in 3 months.

"622/722 can not record and watch another DISH channel."

DISH and the 722 are great. Just understand that the DVR recording part has a 20 year old design and cannot record one program while you watch another live program.

Other than the DVR recording gotcha, the 722 is a great device. Great for USB photos, VGA PC screen. Great for supporting HD and SD TV channels and TVs.

Cannot record one channel while watching another live DISH channel.
