The Sony CMT-G2BNiP is certainly is an impressive all-rounder. It looks the part and has the full bodied sound to match. Whether a CD player and FM/AM support is still necessary we’re not so sure, but Sony firmly believes there is still a market for it.

Generally the speaker sound is excellent and the ability to play from a variety of media much appreciated although that is what one is paying for.

Very poor radio reception from all sources: FM DAB and Internet. I have the aerials fully extended but to no avail. I get better reception on an inexpensive portable radio. My wife wants me to throw this out!

covers every aspect of modern digital music, good desighn

just an amazing sound and we love having a turntable with the sound system to play all our old 45s and 33s(LPS!) We haven't played them for years and they sound great.

Airplay could be more reliable

Nice compact unit, good sound and connectivity. Air play function great for iPad and iPhone use. Internet and dab radio brilliant.

Simple, clean, traditional design - with a good feel to controls. Good sound for a mini system. I'm happy with it. Amazon was £100 cheaper than other sellers.

I haven't been able to configure the wi-fi aspect. Having meticulously followed the instructions several times, I've reverted to a wired connection to my computer. I'm reasonably tech minded, but this aspect might need better instructions or expert help.
