Very loud, but effective at cooling

Serious cooler, quality fan, moves a good volume of air across heat sink

Extremely loud. cooling fan was NOT designed with audio comfort in mind. You WILL have trouble FITTING TWO of these coolers on Tyan and other dual CPU motherboards where the sockets are "side-by-side

Works well

Excellent value at $30/ea; not so much at $56/ea.

Does its job; efficiently transfers heat from the CPU package to the surrounding air. As server coolers go, it's also on the quieter side

Fan cable may be too short for some boards. However, the short length works perfectly with the ASUS KGPE-D16 and avoids any possibility of the cable flopping into the fan blades

updated Good cooling solution

I had to reroute the power cable below the fan so it would not try to chew it up as it ran. No major complaints against the unit and enough room to the screws that you can get a larger screwdriver/ bit driver in there and not fight the fan.

Preprinted thermal grease. Nice fit and finish

questionable if it will keep 140w cpu below max temp at full load ; I just did some burnin tests on the system and 11 of 12 cores running a burnin app got the cpu to 67.8+ C of 69C rated max temp. it would fluctuate about 1 deg wile running. 10 cores...
