Oops! I have just complained that this machines difficult to wash as the motor is integral to the lid, but I now realise that the motor is easily detachable for washing. Everything else I said I stand by.

I am so disappointed with this machine. My daughter had researched which to buy and followed the Which best buy guideline. The lid is not robust, I cracked it on first using, partly because it had got slippery because the funnel is far too narrow to...

Terrible - won't freeze

  (Rating Hidden)

This just doesn't work - half the time it won't freeze the mixture. And that's when the mixture is pre-chilled. I dread to think what would happen with unchilled ingredients.

Good for the money

First attempt failed as I did not freeze the bowl for long enough, or gave it in the fast freeze drawer of my freezer. Second go was much more successful, using a recipe using entirely fat free yoghurt. The machine is certainly noisy and messy to use -...

Just Doesn't work

Bought on Amazon after reading the 'glowing' Which? review. Unfortunately we haven't been able to produce more than a sweet liquid that does not resemble ice cream in any way. The motor shuts off after 40 minutes from over heating. Despite following...

Ice Cream so BAD it led me to question "Which?"

  (Rating Hidden)

I bought this from Amazon.co.uk...which automatically adds £5.99 for extremely slow delivery, or £9.99 for slightly less slow delivery. It is not available to buy anywhere for £20 without adding this compulsory delivery charge, making the real price...

bargain

I found the Andrew James Icecream maker easy to use, easy to clean and the ice cream was lovely. The instructions were clear. I haven't had any trouble with the mixture rising up and touching the lid- maybe it depends on the quantity you put in. I've...

delicious ice cream but.......

  (Rating Hidden)

Although this ice cream maker is very good value for money it is not the easiest gadget to use. I found the ice cream froze solid to the inside of the bowl making it impossible to remove until it had defrosted a bit. Maybe I just left it in too long....

Good Icecream but .........

  (Rating Hidden)

It's seems harsh to be critical when this machine is so inexpensive but though it makes quite good icecream there are some design faults which makes it it harder than necessary to operate/use and it is very noisy: As the mixture freezes the paddle...

Lovely Ice Cream

  (Rating Hidden)

Slightly noisy but the brilliant ice cream more than makes up for it. Easy to use and if you keep the bowl in the freezer you can make delicious ice cream any time. I would never go back to shop bought ice cream.
