This unit cools fantastically well. I took salesman advice and installed exhaust pipe out window. This enables most effective results. Performance is excellent. Yes it is a bit loud but not surprisingly given its converting hot/humid air into cool with...

I bought this aircon in 2012 the 12th of december, after the exact 2years of use, which is the period covered by warrant it has become a useless giant unit in my room. I bought from BingLee( Fairfield) at $560. if I try to turn the unit on it starts...

he room has been great which I would expect at 16000BTU. Also, note the directional blades are only operated manually. My previous one moved slowly side to side which I loved for air movement. Im hoping to stay cool for many many summers... well thats...

ut after 2 months of not-very-intensive use (maybe 6 hours/day for three or four days a week) it made a huge clunking noise, after which it rattled and shuddered and eventually blew out only hot air. So back to Bing Lee it goes; thankfully the staff...
Effective at cooling a small room quickly
Really noisy. Broke down after only 2 months.

I have had my Altise for 4 years this month. The exhaust fan bearing has failed and the fan is hitting the housing, making an unbearable racket. It cannot be fixed . It no longer cools as intended. In that 4 years it was only used in summer, so, in...
OK when new, still too noisy for a bedroom, more suited to an industrial setting
Exhaust fan bearing failed,, cannot be repaired, I am in the process of contacting Omega to rectify this problem.

Bought this a few days ago and it cools a 20sqm bedroom pretty quickly. But it is very noisy even on a low fan setting, especially when the compressor kicks in. Ended up using it to cool the room but then turning it off when going to bed. I haven't...
Cools a 20 sqm room very quickly
Very noisy

expensive junk. It has 2 years (and I added 2 more years to that) warranty so maybe it'll be fine but it's still annoying. It's not easy to cart around at all.
It's cools well.
It is noisy. It has always been quite noisy but now, after a week, and I've been carefull with it (I didn't turn it on until a day after I got it and I don't turn it off and then on without waiting), it's making screeching and rattling noises.
