Not used the heat pump yet but this is a handy addition. The unit is quite compact for its BTU rating. Difficult to tell how much the evaporation feature helps with cooling but it means the unit requires drained less often and appears to prevent the...

This is quite a noisy unit, even on the lowest setting. Like most portables, it lacks a thermostatic control and I can't help thinking that the way it shuts down instantly when you switch it off, with a violent shudder, cannot be doing it any good....

Is nowhere near as powerful as suggested

Nothing.

Does not do what it is supposed to do. Cuts out evey now again completely randomly and intermittently.

Its waterproof (I hope) so it is placed outside the building, thus keeping the noise to a minimum. That said it is fairly quiet, not quite enough (indoors) for a Hypnotherapy session. But fine for a general meeting. Overall very positive.

The remote control seems to need line of sight - so tricky outside. Managed to make it work through the duct into the room.

Powerful enough to cool a 30-35sqm space effectively and reasonably quickly. (temp reduction from about 30C to 25.5C in a couple of hours. Even faster when confined to a smaller room) Simple to set up and operate, nothing complicated to install.

Not cheap by any means, but for about a week's worth of uncomfortably hot nights in a year it does the job, providing a comfortable night's sleep! As with all portable A/C, it isn't very quiet with the compressor going in cooling mode. But not as loud...
