Terrible customer service

Everyone beware of buying products from online stores with dimplex warranty. I bought an airconditioner with a 2 year warranty. Dimplex don't want to know about it and esold says we have to send it to Melbourne for them to look at it first. Courier is...

Very noisy but very effective

Installation was a breeze but the exhaust is flimsy so you need to be careful. Was a bit shocked at the noise level compared to our old DeLonghi but it did the job better. Low fan isn't all that low.

Very effective at cooling our large area. Like the integrated exhaust pipe. No filling with water.

Noisy. Manual doesn't describe what the flashing LED's mean. Manual is thin to say the least.

when used as intended - excellent!

I purchased this as I am currently renting and the house does not have air con built-in. I did a fair bit of research prior to buying and was happy to spend the extra money if the results were worth it. I ended up buying the 5.3kW model as the size of...

it reduces the temperature in my large bedroom by over 10 degrees over about 20minutes

Good

Very happy with the product, price is good for the options and brand you get, if it means you have to turn the TV volume up a little whilst watching it then so be it. A buyer would be happy with it..... after all it is an air conditioner and its job is...

cools well, easy to use... its a portable air conditioner so you cant expect the same as ducted or split system. The unit itself is very powerful with cooling and can turn a bedroom into an icebox and a lounge room into a comfortable living space on...

Noisy (but if you sleep well like me its not a problem)

OK

The bad: - 58dB noise level is not disclosed as a specification for this model either on their website or user manual (as of Nov 18 2010). I found this specification on one side of the actual packaging box (which you might be lucky to come across in a...

GDC18RWA (5.3kW Inverter) - Easy to wheel around (as long as ground is flat). - It cools ~30m+ room - Nice looks

- noisy 58dB(!). - sleep mode doesn't mean "quiet mode". - user manual/guide is basic, and lacked examples. - exhaust pipe plug-in mechanism is flimsy. - 5.3kW model much more exp. than 4.4kW model

Good

It is a great little unit, great for renters as the hose fits into any window, works well to cool our lounge, dining and hallway.

Cool the room well, as well as taking the humidity out of the air, very stylish and slick.

The system is a little loud, wouldnt recommend it for a bedroom whlie trying to sleep. The unit struggled on a 44 degree day, although expected this.
