THIS IS MY SECOND ONE. THE FIRST LASTED NEAR 5 YEARS. I LOOKED ALL OVER FOR ANOTHER. IT WORKS SO WELL. DOES NOT LEAK OR MAKE MESSES. DOES NOT SPURT OUT ON STUFF. JUST FINE MIST. WORTH EVERY CENT.

It can keep the aircon output pointed out of the window and prevent completely free air circulation. Of course some air will get through. Not tried to clean it, but I suspect its not hard? Overall I am pretty pleased - it helps to keep the room cooler...

Beware, the thermostat on this item differs from where you set it. I think it was a great idea the way they put it together, but cheap switch and thermostat makes me not satisfied with this product. I will buy differently next season.

When receiving this I had a minor glitch with it working. Customer service at Essick Air worked it out in no time. Works well, and calls for humidity when needed for my setting. I will enjoy it and helps keep sinuses from drying out.
