The venting hose that goes out the window has a minimum length of about 2 feet (61cm) so the unit ends up a bit in the middle of everything but that's not nearly as frustrating as the cons mentioned above.

The air conditioner did not heat the room as much as I hoped. The air was mixed with cool air which was not very warm. The unit also had a crack on it which was not noticed at first. There may have been some damage which did not allow it to heat well.

I Just tested this A/C unit this morning (april 3rd 2012) to make sure it'll do the Job for the summer. It appears everything is in working order. For the price I can't complain, except it is a little loud. Easy to install, and to operate.

Description doesn't quite fit. Thought the energy saver feature was for both the AC and the heat. It only works with the AC so this may not be so energy efficient as help for the heating bills. The heat cycles on and off, but the fan blows...

Installed in a room over a garage. Keeps the temperature at a comfortable 76°. It's a bit loud (but not nearly as loud as the window unit it replaced)... need to turn the unit off while on the phone, but the remote makes that a quick click.
