Love it

We have had the EVH170 for 6 years. We live in California and run it from June to October. The only time it doesn't cool is when the humidity is above 40%. We have to replace the pads and belt this year. We have had a part freeze in the winter, so now...

Bought our Evaporate cooler in 2008, we live in Melbourne so use age is low. Three week out of Christmas 2016 the unit stopped working. Was told motor had seized and it needed a new control unit, total cost to repair $2700.00, was advised against...

Motor gone just off the warranty

Our experience exactly same - rubbish. We live in Melbourne and are on holidays away in January or February so didnt run it all that much. Ours was gone in Christmas Eve as well. We were told the motor is burned and the replacement is $1200-1600, and...

Worth a miss.

We have just bought this system, and this is our our first summer using it. It doesn't even come close to cooling our house and, in fact, it is colder to just have it off. We tried to fix the system, by following the manual, and that told us to press...

Expensive to repair, design flaw, Seeley unresponsive

Had our Icon EXH170 for 4 years when motor controller died. Replacement is $843 (US) just for the part. After replacement I found out the power IC's where attached to the heat sink with binder clips. This is a cheap way to attach chips that will crack...

Great Unit

Live in Perth, typically hot dry summers but recent 2 years have been relatively humid and this unit (EXH150) still works very well. Can be 40degrees outside and still 26 inside - on a hot humid forecasted day - start the unit early and it will bit the...
