I installed this A/C unit in my Shop after searching online and finding one that would fit my window space. I did have to have my nearby dedicated outlet upgraded to 230v. It looks like any unit with a capacity greater than about 8,000 BTU will require...

First: I live in a very small old house (just under 800 s.f.) without insulation. A 220 line was installed for an a/c and through 19 years, this is the 3rd one.
