Acer Aspire 6920 review

The latest addition to Acer's Gemstone range of laptops is the Aspire 6920, designed with entertainment in mind. Previous Gemstone models weren't exactly lookers, but the new design is certainly more stylish.

The Acer Aspire 6920 is a capable entertainment laptop in a smart, attractive package. The 16in display makes it slightly more portable than a 17in desktop replacement machine, and the inclusion of Blu-ray makes it great for watching HD content.

Acer, of all companies, could bring Blu-ray into the mainstream with its Aspire 6920G-6071, the first 16-inch-widescreen laptop, which it will sell at a bargain price.

First laptop with 16-inch widescreen. Incredible bargain. Blu-ray drive included. HDMI-out. Discrete nVidia graphics. 3GB of memory. Impressive battery life for a desktop replacement.

Plain design. No FireWire port.
