Forza Horizon

Forza Horizon is an open world racer with Forza's classic handling; it's also a very solid contender in the race genre.

With open world gameplay and Forza’s handling, Horizon pushes the right buttons and hits the tarmac at 200mph. Get this game if you want a solid package which offers a lot of fun.

Forza Horizon

Horizon is a Forza game only in name. Here the series' penchant for auto-fetishism and rigid progression has been replaced by a more open-ended structure, and a relatively relaxed approach to the art of driving closer in style to rebellious boy racers...

Forza Horizon review: Breaking through the boundaries

Cars, you see, have different gears for different jobs. It's easy to forget because track racing in video games is about a race to the redline, ploughing up the gears and only dropping down when forced by corners or other racers. But out on the open...

Forza Horizon Review

Forza Horizon's untethered love for the open road makes it a terrific spinoff to this racing franchise.

Sprawling open world is a blast to explore ; Stunning vistas highlighted by a full day-night cycle ; Flexible difficulty welcomes a wide range of drivers ; Plenty to do outside organized events ; Terrific competitive multiplayer

Awkward storytelling ; Disappointing online free-roaming

Despite Horizon's newfound focus on style and flash, sim enthusiasts need not be alarmed: this is no arcade racer. Like in previous entries in the franchise, vehicle handling is determined by a modular collection of driving assists, such as traction...

Forza Horizon Review

Is Forza Horizon breathing fresh life into the Forza series, or is it a cynical attempt by Microsoft to try and annualise and dumb down one of the world [...]

Forza Horizon" is a stunning achievement. It looks, sounds and plays amazingly. And whilst the number of cars on offer may be slightly down on the main game, the actual quality of the racing, variety of the tracks, and open world environment more than...

Forza Horizon Review (Xbox 360)

Veering sharply away from Forza's usual strictish racing simulator style towards a more Need For Speed style thrasher, Forza Horizon was always bound to polarise opinions. Forza faithful are likely to feel a little out of sorts early on as they're...

Forza Horizon (Xbox 360) Review

Taken out of the race track and put into the state of Colorado, does this reinvention of Forza manage to hit the finish line, or does it spin out into dust? 411mania's Marc Morrison finds out inside.

Forza Horizons is a great shot in the arm for the Forza franchise. While it takes out the super-simulation aspect of the racing, it adds in a great world to explore and race on, traffic to avoid, and a much better character progression that Forza 4...

Forza Horizon is a game that really needs to be judged on its own merits, and not compared strictly to its predecessors, as they're related largely in name only. If you can put aside your preconceptions, then Forza Horizon is a very tidy package...

Forza Horizon Review

I was cynical about Forza Horizon's release. Racing games that build themselves around music festivals, hoodies, and absurd storylines haven't sat well with me this generation. For a series like Forza, I wasn't sure how a spin-off would suit the...
