DJ Hero 2 Xbox 360 Review

While not posting stellar sales results from the first DJ Hero outing, Activision stuck to their guns and set to making a sequel. It's a good thing they did too, as DJ Hero 2 takes all of the best parts of what made the first great, then multiplied it...

Better musical variation ; New freestyle features ; Vastly improved career mode

If I find one, I'll let you know

FreeStyleGames improve on what was already a great game.

In conclusion, DJ Hero 2 is a fantastic sequel to what was already a brilliant game. The main additions, apart from the tracks, are the online modes. FreeStyleGames have finally given us a multiplayer experience worth playing and it's great that they...

Games review - DJ Hero 2 mixes masterfully

There's no danger of being a sucker DJ with the new music game sequel that makes plastic guitars seem like yesterday's fad.

Much more varied track listing than before, proper freestyle elements and some great new single and multiplayer options

The Empire single player mode remains overly simplistic. The whole concept is still pretty far from real DJing and the attempts to shoe horn in karaoke don't work

The best new music title for years and a significant improvement on the first game, with almost every complaint from the original addressed.

DJ Hero 2 Review

DJ Hero got some pretty good reviews, but didn't shift huge copies. Does this sequel have the magic needed to really get the DJ rhythm genre going?

Loads of songs ; Great Mixes ; Great tutorials

Multiplayer ; Product Placement ; Story could be better

"DJ Hero 2" is pretty great. I hate the fact that you can draw checkpoint battles, and I found that the plastic turntable got pretty tiring on my hands pretty quickly, but apart from that, there's little wrong with DJ Hero.

Excellent music and new creative opportunities make DJ Hero 2 one of the hottest rhythm games on the scene.

Diverse, exciting song list ; New mechanics let you exert some creative control ; Party Play mode sets a relaxed, social tone

Turntables are still a bit pricey

Great song selection ; Mixes go well together ; Improved controls ; Better multiplayer options ; Nice presentation ; Freestyle is amazing

Microphone use is lackluster ; No big visual upgrade ; No importing songs from the first game

Last year we were introduced to DJ Hero. It was a refreshing entry to the rhythm-action music games. The style and musical presentation was a real stand out. Now we have the second installment of the series and let me just say beforehand, it has taken...

DJ Hero 2

With a great set of mixes, a better line-up of artists and DJs, and with its progressive Empire career mode, there is enough here to keep your body swaying and your toes tapping. If you already have a set of decks from the first game and you are...

A more consistant line-up of mixes; More modes, such as Empire career mode; Has Deadmau5 in it, enough said

Some random mixes still appear in this sequel; Some unnecessary game elements; Still waiting for a pro deck version

DJ Hero 2’s online modes have been improved with some unlockable incentives for budding online disc jockeys to achieve. To keep gamers playing you can build up your DJ Grade by battling and winning against your online opponents, earning and collecting...
