Darksiders 2

Bigger, better and improves on the flaws of the original in almost every way

Darksiders II

With Darksiders II Vigil has managed to capture a sense of one of the rarest feelings in video games: a genuine adventure. This is a fascinatingly hokey journey.

A nice mix of many different gameplay styles ; Plenty of content on offer

Doesn't bring anything new to the table ; Not quite all it could be

You could ask for Darksiders II to be more imaginative, then, and it would be nice to see some sharper puzzles, tighter combat and loftier jumps, but for a game obsessed with revenge and murder Vigil has crafted something with a surprising amount of...

Darksiders 2 review: Epic, brutal, ambitious - but still comes up short

Now I am become Death," goes the quote, "the destroyer of worlds. Er, and also of lava temples and ice caverns. Oh, and I share dialogue with giant magical Glaswegians who sell me stuff." As it turns out,

Thousands of armour pieces and weapons to loot ; A 30-hour story with a massive world to explore ; Customisation and skill trees lend RPG-lite elements

Convoluted combat requires blind speed over finesse ; Death moves at the speed of a Segway ; Platforming's functional but unimaginative

Darksiders

In the post-Uncharted 2 world, Xbox 360 fans have been dying for their own triple A action-adventure game and Darksiders doesn't disappoint. From the very start, Darksiders sets the tone as you come crashing to Earth in a trail of fire and blood. Lets...

Darksiders is a really fun game and one of most refreshing titles this reviewer has played in a while. Whilst you won't come back to it after you've finished it, the story and art style are more than worth the entry fee.

Darksiders (Xbox 360)

War is my shepherd.

This game will more than sate the hunger for fans of comic book action and is most definitely the closest that the xbox 360 and PS3 will ever get to Zelda.

Darksiders Xbox 360 Review

It's almost expected of games, these days, to share a likeness to one another. As genres become more standardised and what we expect becomes more generalised, it's almost impossible for a game to not share any similarities with any number of games....

Unique, detailed art style ; Interesting amalgamation of the real world and the fantasy ; It's like Zelda

Storyline is a little basic ; Difficulty does not scale as your character improves

Darksiders (2010)

Riffing on the worst parts of the bible - fire, brimstone, hell on earth; you get the picture - Vigil Games and Madureira's lavishly designed Darksiders sees one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse - War - duped into bringing about the end of man....

Darksiders - Review

War and Ruin

All in all, Darksiders was a game that I was really looking foward to and it did live up to my expectations. It provides a really enjoyable experience that whilst feeling too short does deliver a decent story, excellent characters, BRILLIANT puzzles...

Darksiders (Xbox 360, PS3) review

Imagine a scenario in your head. There's Legend of Zelda in one hand and God of War in another. If you put those two in bed together, what would you spawn out? The answer is Darksiders, created from a rather new studio called Vigil Games.

It's a shame that Darksiders has been stuck with the same release date as Bayonetta. If people haven?t done their research they may expect it to be in the same genre as Platinum Game's action witch. Please don?t think that because Darksiders is a great...

Darksiders

Darksiders pulls together concepts from a ton of different games, but the way it pieces these things together manages to feel exciting.
