I think i can summerise this game by saying it involves a lot of wondering around blowing the hell out of bad guys and things. not particularly challenging and the aiming system can really get on your nerves until you get used to the glitches. only...

a very good sandbox game

By Andrew Lightfoot (sofacinema.co.uk) Read the full review

Playing as a cop with superhuman abilities used to take down 3 gangs was fun. You can try sneak in or guns blazing. The game was fun however it was far to short and lack of weapons was a problem. Lots of fun in a short game.

Crackdown - Xbox 360 review - Pocket-lint

By Chris Pickering (pocket-lint.com)

Award: Hot Product!

Was the Halo 3 beta bolt-on a cheap excuse or an added bonus?

So much to do, so much to see, solid as a rock game engine

Crackdown can be rushed through in a couple of days if you so wish, but it'd be a crime to pile through this little beauty

Crackdown 2 (2010)

By Dave McComb (empireonline.com)

With its mutant monsters, wild weapons, maniacal multiplayer and pumped-up heroes that can leap tall buildings in a single bound, Crackdown 2 promises action fans a world of thrills. Sadly, it only partially delivers on its promises.

Crackdown 2

The first 481 agility orbs are the easiest. Once again, 500 of the buoyant green collectibles have been scattered around the freshly ruined Pacific City; getting the last 19 is still an absolute pain in the backside. It's classic Crackdown, basically....

Crackdown 2

By dapsycho (gamesxtreme.net)

Pacific City is back and this time the Agency is battling freaks, is Crackdown 2 a worthy successor to 1 or is it just cracked?

Crackdown 2 is worth getting if you love the first, worth a rent if you want to see what it’s like. It's a good game, just low on things to do once the main story is complete and the side missions are finished.

Crackdown 2 (Xbox 360) review

By Thomas McDermott (darkzero.co.uk)

After about three hours of Crackdown 2 I hit upon the realisation that this was a game trying to imitate the original, instead of expanding on its solid foundations to build something great. Even though there is nothing innately wrong with that...

The games industry just moves far too quickly for a company to rest on its laurels, and when you stand still, like Ruffian has seemingly done, others will simply pass you by.

It was a game with minimal plot that became the archetypal sandbox; playing was its own reward. Since Crackdown launched, however, the world of sandbox gaming has seen some pretty significant advancements…advancements that for Crackdown 2, Ruffian...

That's not necessarily a bad thing though. I really enjoyed it for a good 6-7 hours, but I'm at the point where I'd say they have to do something new for the next one to get me interested.

Crackdown

By Stevie Mostyn (play.tm)

There's been a lot made of Crackdown prior to its release, and not because of its own strengths but rather because of a certain 'golden ticket' beta invitation that can be found beneath the game's instruction manual. Generally speaking, a publisher...

As much as a sore ass is the sign of a poor movie, sore eyes from a lack of blinking is a sure sign of an excellent videogame. Perhaps the biggest endorsement worth assigning to Crackdown is that hours of enjoyable gameplay will fly by as the player...

And, moreover, Microsoft casually throwing invitations to Halo 3's beta into Crackdown begins to seriously toll the bells of doom regarding a possible need to help garner software sales for a disappointing title on the back of 2007's biggest inbound...
