Games review - Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam smells the napalm

The long-awaited downloadable expansion for Bad Company 2 finally arrives, but will you still be enjoying its lower tech vibe through into next year?

Some excellent and varied map design. The new vehicles, weapons and period feel are handled well. Snipers are less annoying than before

The Phu Bai Valley map isn't up to the standards of the others. Playing as the Vietnamese is never as fun and the game still undersells some of its features

A useful expansion that puts an appreciably different spin on the original gameplay, to the point where many are likely to prefer this tour of duty.

Bot summer nights.

A student banquet: that's what this premium downloadable content pack offers to long-standing Bad Company 2 players. It's when you can't afford to go to the supermarket, having splurged your spending money on cheap booze and ironic t-shirts, so you use...

Bad Company 2 takes everything that Dice created in the first game and builds an impressive sequel that is an equal match for the current batch of First Person Shooters.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Xbox 360 Review

When I saw the new trailer for Bad Company 2, I really did fall in love with it. DICE seemed to have really found a point with fast and fluid gameplay in the multiplayer aspect of the game with a good mix of vehicles and unique style of maps, that...

Great Single player ; Even Better Multiplayer

Battlefield: Bad Company 2

EA has been talking up Battlefield: Bad Company 2 as a viable competitor to Activision's all-conquering Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but regardless of quality and all the promotional willy-waving in the world, the real acid test is whether it can...

Bad Company 2's masterful execution in both its multiplayer and single-player aspects means that the brazen fun it pokes at its closest competitors (Haggard complains about the Army sending in "pussy-ass guys with heartbeat sensors on their guns" for...
