Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD

Set sail for high adventure with Nintendo's Wii U remaster

Fantastic cartoon graphics given a new HD sheen ; Hours of mystery and adventure ; Many oddballs to meet and islands to explore ; Some sensible changes make the game even better

No abandoned material restored ; Minor glitches and gameplay issues

Beautiful to look at and brilliant to play, The Wind Waker HD takes the most underrated Zelda and hangs it high in Nintendo’s gallery of greats. It is a disappointment that it doesn’t return deleted content or extend the experience, but this is a game...

The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker HD Review

The most controversial Zelda title returns to unanimous anticipation. The world has changed in ten years ...

It's a testament to the style, focus and execution of the veterans over at Nintendo that fans young and old alike now love the Wind Waker and see it as one of the Zelda series finest 3D outings.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Review

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD is a lovingly updated version of a timeless, though flawed, adventure.

The new aesthetic is different but still beautiful ; An evocative soundtrack ; Fantastic cast of characters ; Filled with great moments ; Puzzle-packed dungeons

The second half of the game still drags ; Tingle's quest is irredeemably boring

Structurally, however, The Wind Waker was, and still is, trapped in the shadow of the seminal Ocarina of Time, and plays out in the series' classic fashion as opposed to the broad experimentation of its predecessor Majora's Mask. There's no new content...

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Review

A beautiful upgrade that makes an already wonderful game even better.

Looks gorgeous in HD ; Typically excellent puzzles, dungeon design

Noticeable slow-down during cannon fights ; Cut dungeons still give it a slightly unfinished feel

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD

Time to don the green tunic once again to take on Ganon, cut an awful lot of grass and smash up some pottery.

If you’ve played the original, let’s face it, Nintendo prices don’t drop very quickly. You may as well just go and pick this up because you know you want to play it. This is easily the definitive version of Wind Waker and the best you’ll ever play.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (Wii U): Review

Since its unveiling at Nintendo Direct in January, I couldn't help but feel a remake of Nintendo's Game Cube classic, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, was a bit pointless. Numerous other titles could have used the high-definition treatment and Wind...

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD – The Devil Is In The Details

One of my favorite things about the Legend of Zelda franchise is the care with which the design team makes even the most insignificant of characters charming and the most inconspicuous of details meaningful.
