iRobot's Scooba 450 looks like a Roomba, cleans like a mop

 

In a market flooded with lackluster light-duty mops, iRobot's high-powered Scooba 450 floor-cleaning robot shines.

iRobot's $600 Scooba 450 really can replace your old mop and bucket. Separate tanks mean that dirty water doesn't get recycled back onto your floors.

Its battery is only good for 40 minutes, (roughly 300 square feet of cleaning) and it has a 2-hour charge time. There's no automated scheduling or charging dock, and the Scooba's rounded shape can't clean corners. At all.

iRobot's Scooba 450 isn't perfect, but it's a solid, albeit pricy, choice for small space cleaning.

It's no small investment, but the iRobot Scooba 450 is a very effective way to keep your floors sparkling without reaching for a mop and bucket.

Effective cleaning. Easy to use. Speaks audible cues.

Pricey. Loud. Requires some manual labor to keep clean.

It actually cleans very well, it is good at working out the room shape and I use it in 2 odd shaped rooms. It's easy to set up and easy to empty and clean afterwards

It's round which means it misses corners and it's very expensive.

Push a button and your floor gets cleaned.

Expensive floor cleaning washing liquid which you can't replace with another brand. It does not recharge itself. Does not do corners.
