Vizio VP42

Who knew that you could get an image this good for a mere grand? Even though the Vizio VP42 costs less than any other television in our November issue's HDTV roundup, and four of the TVs cost at least twice as much, it managed to come in second in our...

Very low price Great picture

Difficult to set up and use No burn-in prevention features

The VP42's modest-size remote has many small, difficult-to-find buttons. It isn't programmable and has no PiP button, and the buttons don't glow in the dark

Vizio VP42 HDTV

The Vizio VP42 HDTV is an inexpensive plasma television that delivers a good-looking picture without a lot of fuss.

Very good image contrast. Good color representation. Excellent value.

Unable to eliminate edge enhancements completely. Inconsistent detection of film-based video. Bland-looking on-screen signal information.

Vizio GV42L

The Vizio GV42L is a decent LCD option for game consoles or other "clean" sources of video, but regular TV was tainted by distracting artifacts, and the set's default color quality meant that professional help would be required to achieve realistic...

Low price. Comprehensive picture controls for a value HDTV.

Poor video-processing performance. Excessive edge enhancement. Inconsistent color tracking.

Vizio VU42LF HDTV Review – 42-inch LCD HDTV

Vizio maintains its reputation as one of the greatest value buys in the HDTV flat panel market today. The Vizio VU42LFHDTV10A upholds that reputation with one of the best low-priced 1080p televisions available. The flat panel market can really be...

Its July 2011 Now, and the TV is still running. It still takes 2 turn ons for the tv to power up. I learn’t to live with it. I’ve gotten my use out of it.

VIZIO GV42L LCD: On the Bench

VIZIO has made a lot of noise in the AV world by offering products with the features and performance people want at warehouse store prices. Well, here's another Costco special! The GV42L is a 42" LCD flat panel with glossed up cosmetics and a strong...

The Vizio GV42L 42" LCD HDTV: Modest Price, Great Picture

Holding true to the company's "Where Vision Meets Value" motto, the Vizio 42" GV42L's $1,699 price tag is lower than that of most other 42" LCDs. Its image quality and design aren't bad, either.

The GV42L has an upscale look and feel, with a classy design and very useful backlit remote. I found the GV42L easy to use and configure for all sources. Many LCDs have a little bit of over-coloring, where bright, punchy colors are overdone a bit and...

Vizio VU42LF

I bought this TV last summer (2007) the day it became available at Costco with the $200 off coupon and have not regret a moment of it. Now, the TV unadjusted straight out of the box does not look good, however, a few tweaks to the default picture...

The TV could go head to head with the Bravia XBR3 for about $2500 less. 1080p native for less than $1000 is out of this world. Great Customer Service

The stock remote does suck, however, I use a Harmony for everything, so I actually threw the stock remote away. HDMI2 port started having HDCP Handshake Issues after a few weeks
