Excellent clear picture - just as good as the one I bought for my partner's house a year ago but substantially (40%)cheaper
The ledge behing the clear perspex control display bar at the bottom of the screen is only accessible (and with difficulty) from the back of the screen and therefore it is difficult to remove dust

Very nice quality remote control ; Smart speaker design ; Could do with four HDMI inputs
A dedicated subwoofer output would be a big advantage & not tie up your analogue audio out ; Nice looking TV,but frame edge is a little wide ; Can't justify expense in making frame & stand blue metallic ; Pity it arrived before HD

With the 200Hz system on hand to give things that little extra nudge upwards, the 46Z4500 probably produces the best picture quality we've seen from a Sony flatscreen TV. But that's not to say the TV completely blows the competition out of the water,...
Beautifully built ; Stunning picture quality ; What little the 200Hz technology offers
200Hz could be more impressive ; Steep price
Conclusion While upgrading to 200Hz works, it doesn't totally revolutionise TV picture quality in the same way LED backlighting does. This means that even though the 46Z4500 is without question a very fine TV, it's not quite fine enough to justify its...

This Sony Bravia LCD TV features 200Hz processing but what's it like overall?
I don't mind saying that I really agonised over this one. Should it end up with a 9 or an 8? In the end, the quality of the 200Hz engine together with the other undeniable strengths of the picture just did enough to bring me down on the side of an...

The -Z4500 represents the pinnacle of what Sony is capable of right now, so it should come as no surprise that it's simply stunning
Builds on the already-impressive -W4500 to create the best picture of any 46in TV we have yet seen
The individual improvements aren't as dramatic as -600 might suggest

This Sony delivers a fine flatscreen picture and excellent sound; arguably best in class
Super smooth with action scenes ; crisp, detailed image ; beefy sound for a flatscreen ; a delight to use
Some of Sony's sets are less, and almost as good

For sports and Hollywood action flick junkies, this 200Hz HDTV delivers an efficient motion-enhancement engine which eliminates judder completely.
Best anti-judder mode yet; bright, detailed pictures; good black levels; media streaming via Ethernet and USB; excellent Blu-ray playback
Minor cosmetic issues; not as confident with DVD
Despite some misgivings about the cosmetics and dubious marketing, this is a very likeable television. It performs well and is loaded with features--including the supremely efficient 200Hz mode. If you're umming and ahhing between this and the Bravia...

Sony astutely plays the specification numbers game with its latest LCD TV
Gorgeously designed and built / Pictures often look excellent
Very expensive / 200Hz not as big a game-changer as we'd hoped
As you’d expect, this new processing system increases the scanning rate of your average PAL source by a factor of four rather than the x2 of 100Hz LCD TVs. And in doing so, so the argument goes, the 46Z4500 can present motion with considerably more...

An excellent LCD TV but not the technological leap forward we had hoped for ..
Although the 200Hz does not entirely convince, the KDL-40Z4500 is actually an excellent LCD TV in all areas. Are only concern is the relatively high price.

In Sony's efforts to expand their LCD TV empire by catering to buyers with different requirements and budgets, they have come up with more range and models of Bravia LCD televisions than you can shake a stick at. We have tested the latest W4500 series,...
The deep blacks, accurate colours and low input lag on Sony’s latest high-end (W series and above) LCD HDTVs need no further praise, so we’re left to comment on the Sony KDL40Z4500's 200Hz Motionflow implementation.
Today we're going to have a look at the Sony KDL40Z4500 and find out…
