Sony Bravia KDL-40EX43B review

Good, if pricey solution for a second room

Sony Bravia KDL-40EX43B

Sony's first BD-integrated TV offers a cableless solution for HD playback

Picture quality; BD integration will appeal to some

Lacklustre sound quality; Only DD/DTS 5.1 output; Some usability issues

The Xross Media Bar is also needed for any setup beyond the wizard-driven 'first-run' stage. I did have some problems getting the KDL-40EX43B to talk to my network via Ethernet. Although DLNA content was accessible, Bravia TV channels weren't. If, as I...

Sony Bravia KDL-40EX43BU

Sony has delivered the first TV in the UK to offer an integrated Blu-ray player. But does the one box route compromise quality?

Our first proper TV review of 2011 has got the year off to a surprisingly good start. For while the 40EX43BU won’t suit everyone and doesn’t by any means set new standards for picture or sound, it does do a great job for its target audience of...

Sony Bravia KDL-40EX43B review

Let's cut to the chase. If you're and looking to buy a new TV and Blu-ray player, you'd be hard pushed to find a better value option than the Sony Bravia KDL-40EX43B. There, we've said it.

High definition viewing and Blu-ray movie playback at an amazing price. But you'll get better picture quality, functionality and features from a separate TV and Blu-ray player.

Sony Bravia EX43B (KDL-40EX43B) review

The 40-inch Sony Bravia KDL-40EX43B produces impressively rich and vivid pictures, but its speakers are something of a let-down. Sound aside, Sony has done a good job of integrating the Blu-ray player into this set's menu system.

Natural colours ; Built in Blu-ray drive ; Sharp HD pictures

Black levels aren't as good as LED sets ; Weedy sound

We had our reservations about building a Blu-ray player into a set of this size, but Sony has managed to integrate the two surprisingly well with the Bravia KDL-40EX43B. The set also has some great support for Internet services and produces...

my recent purchase

Initially, the tv was excellent. However, when I went to mount it to my new tv stand, I found that one of the mounting sockets into which you screw the bolts, was missing. However, Amazon very quickly sorted the problem with little fuss, and exchanged...

Great but a little slow to change channels sometimes

Best price on the net was amazons, thumbs up I saved 200GBP on this. All this and one plug and NO wires and blu ray... could it get better?! not really I love it!

Fabulous TV

I am extremely happy with this TV for the simple fact that I have one TV, one remote and all my DVD/Bluray/Freeview options in one neatly hung TV on the wall. A bit of trunking to take the cable down the wall into the power and that's it. It's really...
