Sharp LC-32GD8

The outward design is pleasing on the eye

Games look great, Images are crisp and clear

Some tweaks are required

There's a decent list of features, too, including a digital tuner with a seven-day EPG - so once you get past the couple of minor disappointments with the design, you have the feeling that this is a high- quality product

Sharp Aquos LC-37GD8E LCD television review

The 37-inch GD8E from Sharp is part of its Aquos range and offers an elegant mid-range solution for the modern user. The minimal but effective design makes for an attractive addition to a living room, and a built-in DTV tuner means that you can enjoy a...

Excellent picture quality, effective interface and image control, HD-ready, built in DTV tuner

Bass suffers at higher levels, only one HDMI port

The consistent sharp and vibrant images and built in DTV tuner make this an excellent display for the price

Sharp Aquos LC32GD8E review

Sharp's LC-32GD8 is an affordable entry-level LCD with a typical specification at this price. You can get better performance, especially with high definition, but you'll need to spend more for the privilege

Stylish design ; High-definition compatibility ; Advanced user settings ; Great standard-definition performance

Restricted connectivity ; Occasional instability with high-definition images

The various sound features are useful, especially the Clear Voice function, but like all LCDs, the slim speakers restrict audio performance and if you're a film enthusiast we suggest supplementing them with a sound system

Sharp LC-32GD8

Sharp's LC-32GD8 is an entry-level screen that's the most competitively priced model here, especially if you shop around online. However, you can expect a few compromises for the privilege of paying less.

Great value, sleek styling, interactive adjustment options, good performance for the price

Average build quality, limited connectivity, no advanced processing, bleached black levels
