Panasonic TX-P42V20B

The G20 series uses a slightly watered down version of Panasonic's contrast-boosting Infinite Black technology

Superb picture quality; Good feature count; Straightforward operation; Good multimedia tools

limited USB HDD recording compatibility; Images not quite as bright as similarly priced LCD sets; Occasional slight bias towards green

At the bottom of the Panasonic pile is the X20 range, which doesn't use NeoPDP technology at all, and so is definitely only to be considered if you really can't afford one of the much superior NeoPDP models

Panasonic TX-P50V20B

This LCD TV is absolutley brimming with features and can even use a webcam for video calls

Plenty of advanced features; Stupendous HD pics

Only one tuner at a time; Disappointing SD pics and sound

Built in are tuners for standard and high-definition digital satellite (Freesat HD) as well as digital terrestrial (Freeview HD); in a nod to the old, there's an analogue tuner, too

Panasonic Viera V20 (TX-P42V20B) review

The 42-inch Panasonic Viera TX-P42V20B is simply one of the best TVs you can buy right now thanks to its cavernously deep black levels and cinematic colours.

Superb black levels ; Amazing HD and SD picture quality ; Great range of features

Slightly dull styling ; Fussy about which USB drives its recording feature will work with

With the Viera TX-P42V20B, Panasonic has created a superb TV that produces some of the most cinematic images you'll find outside your local movie theatre. The excellent Internet features and presence of Freeview HD and freesat HD tuners only sweeten...

Panasonic Viera V20 (TX-L37V20B) review

The 37-inch Panasonic Viera TX-L37V20B LCD TV with LED edge lights is expensive, but it offers a great range of features and delivers gorgeous pictures.

Packs both Freeview HD and freesat HD tuners ; Gorgeous standard- and hi-def pictures ; Impressive range of Internet features ; Good sound quality

Expensive ; IPlayer only available if you use the freesat tuner ; Very slight haloing visible in dark scenes

The Viera TX-L37V20B is one of Panasonic's best LCD TVs so far. It looks gorgeous, delivers fantastic high- and standard-definition pictures, and offers good sound quality too. We also like its solid line-up of Internet features, although it's a shame...

Panasonic Viera TX-P42V20

If you want the picture quality of Panasonic's latest 3D models but don't need 3D, then this 42in plasma television is the answer to your prayers.

If you want the vast majority of the picture quality of Panasonic’s latest 3D models but don’t need 3D, then the P42V20 is the answer to your prayers. It’s an outstanding 42in TV in almost every way, and as such manages to make its £1,160 price look...

Panasonic Viera TX-P42V20B review

We've been dead impressed with Pansonic's latest plasma TVs, such as the brilliant Viera TX-P46G20B, part of the G20 series. We were very excited, then, to get our hands on the new top-of-the-range model, the 42in Viera TX-P42V20B from the company's...

It's an absolutely stunning TV, but Pansonic's own G20 series televisions have nearly identical image quality and are a fair bit cheaper.

Panasonic TX-P50V20

Not cheap, but its considerable achievements make the V20 one of the most desirable TVs around ..

Black level ability, colour

SD pictures a 'soft' for some

The TX-P50V20 slugs it out with the flagship VT20 toe to toe, matching it in every respect. With stunning High Definition and Standard definition picture performance, the TX-P50V20 is one of the best all round TV we have come across.

Panasonic Viera V20 (TX-L37V20B)

Provided you take great care calibrating this TV - I used a THX disc and the advanced picture settings - it gives one of the very best pictures I have seen. For once on an LCD set, night scenes are really dark, no greying over, and blacks are detailed...

Just about everything! Great blacks and night scenes, superb needle sharp HD (and SD) pictures, brilliant and vibrant colour

Nothing really, except it is a bit on the expensive side (I paid £799) - but you get a lot
