Panasonic TX-P65VT20B

If you want to get the best 3D experience at home, then this is the best set we have seen so far

Huge screen; Excellent picture quality generally; Powerful sound

Not very slick design; Slight crosstalk noise with 3D; Will ramp up your electricity bill

The TV ships with two pairs of Panasonic's 3D glasses, which feel uncomfortable rather quickly and let an annoying amount of light in. So much so, that you need to darken your room as much as possible when viewing in 3D

Panasonic TX-65VT20 review

At 65-inches in diameter and with a depth of just 90mm, is this 3D Ready plasma the ultimate flatscreem TV? It certainly looks the part, but if you're going to spend this kind of money on anything it should be faultless.

Deep blacks, colour, versatility, easy 3D playback, Freeview HD

Uncomfortable 3D glasses, no DivX HD, poor value remote control

There are issues around 3D picture quality (and content), but the TX-65VT20's versatility and skill with Blu-ray and Freeview HD/Freesat HD make this all-encompassing plasma unbeatable in a high-end home cinema environment

Panasonic TX-P50VT20 review

Samsung may have (just) beaten Panasonic in the race to put 3D TVs on the high-street, with its range of LCD and LED-backlit 3D screens, but the Japanese giant's arrival is perhaps more portentous.

The smoothness and clarity of 3D on this plasma is better than any we've seen on rival sets to date (although it must be said that it's early days for 3D generally).

Most of our caveats are little more than nit-picking. It's high-time Panasonic got to grips with the look and logic of its user interface.

The TX-P50VT20 is an altogether superior telly that will thrill plasma technology aficionados.

Panasonic TX-P42VT20

We think 42-inches is a bit small for the 3D effect, but it does a sterling job with 2D

Excellent overall picture quality; Bursting with cutting-edge features; Wireless networking made easy; Generally easy to use

Expensive; Engaging 3D is a faff; Outmoded design; Annoying EPG; IFC side-effects

The P42VT20's styling lacks the panache that the LED crowd has shown of late. It's certainly not an offensive-looking beast, but there is nothing about the rather uninspiring gloss black frame that suggests this is the most technologically advanced...

Panasonic TX-P50VT20 review

The 50in Panasonic TX-P50VT20 is a pretty special 3D television.

Is Plasma a dying breed? Well it wouldn’t be the first time market forces have seen the superior technology lose out, but we hope there’ll be a place in the future for plasma technology. The quality of the 3D on the Panasonic TX-P50VT20 is stunning, as...

Panasonic Viera TX-P46VT20

By suppressing crosstalk so effectively, this 46in plasma TV's 3D performance is the most engaging we've tested to date.

While Panasonic’s 3D glasses do their best to sabotage the P46VT20’s 3D performance, and the imminence of some 2nd-gen competition might persuade you to wait a while, the fact remains that simply by suppressing crosstalk so effectively, the P46VT20’s...

Panasonic Viera VT20 (TX-P46VT20) review

Panasonic still delivers the best 3D in town. Perhaps more importantly, the Viera TX-P46VT20 is a knockout 2D set. It's extremely well-equipped, with picture quality that movie fans will love.

Excellent picture quality ; Good with both standard- and high-definition sources ; No motion blur or overt 3D crosstalk

Streaming video-file support isn't comprehensive ; Ads embedded in the TV guide ; 3D content looks darker than on other sets

The Panasonic Viera TX-P46VT20 gets two thumbs up. Its 2D image quality is outstanding and its 3D performance shows the competition a clean pair of heels. The implementation of 2D-to-3D conversion is also surprisingly good, as long as you don't expect...

Does plasma still cut the visual mustard? Panasonic proves it does

An excellent TV that shows plasma still has a place in this 3D world

Panasonic Viera TX-P50VT20B review

For its first 3D TV, Panasonic has decided to do it in style with a top-of-the-range plasma panel. We've reviewed the massive 50in Viera TX-P50VT20B, but there's an even bigger 65in version available should you want even more screen space.

For the person that wants 3D, this is the ultimate TV. Stunning image quality, amazing contrast and smooth movement make it the pinnacle of home entertainment.

Panasonic TX-P65VT20

65 inches of cutting edge picture processing tech, this huge television is a stunner before you even switch it on. When you do fire it up, its fantastic 2D and 3D performance and fully loaded feature list goes a long way towards justifying that mammoth...

The huge 1920 x 1080 screen produces fantastic black level response and punchy, deep contrast. Performance is exceptional in 2D mode, and there’s only a slight hit to picture brightness and contrast when you switch to 3D

The sheer size of this telly means that any picture issues are easy to spot: there is slightly more 3D crosstalk than on Panasonic’s 50-inch plasmas, and despite some classy upscaling tech inside standard definition content can lack detail. These are...

Yes, it’s pricey and yes, it needs to be accommodated in a barn-sized living room, but the Panasonic TX-P65VT20 is a fantastically impressive luxury TV whether you’re watching 3D or old-fashioned 2D images.
