Panasonic TX-55CX802

The 55-inch 55CX802 is Panasonic's flagship 55-inch TV for 2015 - a role it fulfils by combining a native 4K UHD resolution and high-brightness, wide colour gamut panel design with HDR playback, an excellent new Firefox-powered smart system, and...

Gorgeously nuanced, detailed, immersive pictures ; Fair price for what's on offer ; Firefox OS works brilliantly

Minor (but just about defeatable) backlight clouding ; Only three HDMIs ; Stand design requires large piece of support furniture

Panasonic TX-50CX802

The TX-50CX802 is Panasonic's newest 50in TV for 2015. Its spec sheet lists native 4K resolution, HDR support (eventually…) and a direct LED lighting engine with local dimming. It also includes Panasonic's intriguing new 4K Pro technology, which...

Stunning picture quality ; Firefox works well ; Excellent value for what's on offer

Pictures not the brightest ; HDR not testable yet ; Some minor backlight control issues

Panasonic 65CX800

Hands-on: Panasonic's new 4K TV pushes everything to 11

Overall, our first impressions of the 65CX800 suggest that so long as it doesn’t let its new brightness and colour richness run away with it, it could fix at the first time of asking all the niggles we had with last year’s nonetheless impressive and...

Panasonic TX-50CX802B review

Definitive proof that beauty is in the detail

Superbly detailed, natural pictures ; Excellent value ; Firefox OS works well ; Exceptional colour rendition

Slight motion blur ; Occasional backlight flaws ; Average sonics ; Calibrated pictures lack brightness

While there's room for improvement with its backlight and motion handling, the 50CX802 is far and away Panasonic's best LCD TV to date. Its pictures benefit from a unique focus on colour and greyscale nuances that give it a genuine USP.

Panasonic TX-50CX802: picture quality ahead of all else?

The latest Panasonic is by no means perfect, but it's focus on picture quality makes it a good-value UHD stunner.

Great picture quality ; Firefox OS ; Excellent colour reproduction

Slight motion issues ; Average audio ; Occasional backlight problems

Panasonic Viera TX-55CX802 review: Glorious 4K for under £2k

The 4K revolution continues, with Panasonic's latest, the Viera CX802, bringing with it Firefox OS and the promise of future updates such as HDR (high dynamic range). It's got all the current 4K bells and whistles, but with that one televisual toe...

Great natural-looking picture quality, Firefox OS is commendable, excellent value, future-proofed for content (including HDR at a later date)

Requires a really wide stand for the size, a little clouding, Firefox OS not as slick as webOS 2.0, some apps lack 4K (for now)

We might find the CX802's super-wide stand annoying, its Firefox OS isn't quite as slick as LG's webOS 2.0, and there are some to-be-updated apps that await a wave of the 4K magic wand. But what the Panasonic CX802 offers that its competition doesn't...

Panasonic CX8 (CX850 / CX800) review

Panasonic's new high-end TV for 2015 has Firefox OS, HDR (high dynamic range) and an extended color space. Here's our review

Great picture processing, 4K picture and upscaling ; Firefox OS is fast and user-friendy ; Fewer reflections than competitors ; Quick navigation in TV channel menus

Old Panasonic menus not integrated in Firefox OS ; Clouding issues ; Too narrow viewing angles ; Bad local dimming system (18 zones) ; Cheap remote controls ; Pre-calibrated color modes not very good

Panasonic TC-65CX850U review

Panasonic's CX850U offers a gorgeous, plasma-like picture that even bright rooms won't manage to tarnish.

If we knew were to tell you to get it, we’d suggest you immediately go check out Panasonic’s CX850U series television, and would go so far as to suggest looking at the 65-inch version for its slightly more advanced backlight system and picture...
