Excellent panel, with good picture quality and easy to use interface. Easily one of the best value freesat panels around. The sound qaulity is very good, much better than my 46" samsung

Love it! So easy to set up. Simple instructions + lots of up to date technology, including an energy-saving option
Personally, I always struggle a bit with all the leads coming out of the back when the TV is fitted to the wall

LG's 37LF7700 is one of the cheapest TVs we've seen with integrated Freesat HD. There's a network port (a mandatory requirement of Freesat) but LG hasn't made use of this capability to offer media streaming or internet services.
Built-in Freesat HD makes this TV excellent value for money as long as you can put up with the slightly over-processed image and an EPG that could be better.

LG's first Freesat-equipped TV is aggressively priced, comprehensively specified and delivers the goods in style
Cheaper than its Panasonic rivals, this Freesat set isn’t flawless, but it's a very capable all-round performer

Representing LG's first entry into the freesat TV market, the 42-inch 42LF7700 LCD TV with a 1080p resolution is an admirable effort at a reasonable price. Boasting a seriously attractive design, it also offers hugely watchable pictures, although its...
Generally good picture quality ; attractive design ; key freesat functionality has been integrated very well ; fair price
Black-level response isn&apos ; t the best ; standard-definition pictures can look slightly soft ; electronic programme guide is sluggish
LG might be the first brand to enter the freesat TV market following the end of Panasonic's exclusive freesat deal, but there are few signs that anything's been rushed with the 42LF7700. It's not a perfect TV, but it's certainly very likeable

Conclusion If you're looking for the last word in picture quality, Panasonic's freesat plasma TVs still definitely have the edge over LG's freesat debutante. But that doesn't make the LG 42LF7700 a bad TV by any means. In fact, it's a rather good one,...

LG hops onto the Freesat bandwagon with its 42LF7700 LCD TV.
The 42LF7700 has integrated its Freesat tuner well for the most part, and can produce some quite phenomenal pictures with the right kind of bright, colourful source material. If money's not too big an issue for you, I personally - movie lover that I am...
But that doesn't alter the fact that the 42LF7700 is still a very nice Freesat TV debut from LG that offers something rather sought after in today's financial climate: impressive value for money.

Considering this is LG's first foray into the world of Freesat TVs, the 37LF7700 should be applauded
Good Freesat picture ; nice menus ; sounds reasonable
Some issues with motion ; colours can appear overblown

You need to spend 1200 to get a better big screen, and that makes the 'LF7700 a serious bargain
Freesat; brilliant detail, edge definition, contrast and motion for the money; natural colours; cracking menus
Audio performance can't quite match the excellence of the visuals

Good all round performance with the added convenience of built-in Freesat ..
If you are interested in getting Freesat, there is nothing quite like the convenience of having the functionality built-in. The LG 42LF7700 having this advantage along with a decent all round performance, presents quite an appealing package....

Up until recently only one manufacturer was producing Freesat HD enabled TVs and in the next year that number is likely to explode with multi-tuner sets on the way. In the meantime we have here the LG 32LF7700, a budget priced LCD TV with a Freesat HD...
Above Average
The HD output from the Freesat service has, up until now, been left to the BBC and ITV, but industry watchers are predicting that the amount of free to air HD content will rise on this satellite service. One of the drawbacks for Freesat is the need for...

Nice price and good looks make this 42in Freesat TV an easy choice for the HD curious
The 42LF7700 isn't perfect - the lack of upscaling is disappointing, if only because it highlights the great difference in quality between the HD and SD programmes available on Freesat. Nevertheless, this is 42in Full HD television that delivers good...
So, if you're keen to explore Freesat in all its high-definition glory, the LG 42LF7700 is well worth considering.
