Bose VideoWave review: hands-on

The Bose VideoWave entertainment system offers high-end viewing and sound quality without comprimising on style. Wave good-bye to mammoth sized speakers and say hello to a clutter-free living room

Bose VideoWave Home Entertainment System – review

Stuart O'Connor: Bigger and flatter TVs come at the expense of quality audio, but the VideoWave's built-in speakers deal with that problem

Exceptional sound quality and picture; home-cinema quality without all those annoying wires

The price; glitchy remote; the lack of a TV tuner

Bose VideoWave Entertainment System II (55-Inch)

The Bose VideoWave II Entertainment System offers a few video-related improvements over the original iteration, but nothing has changed in terms of this high-end HDTV's phenomenal audio system. And that's a very good thing.

Powerful, spacious sound output. Sharp image quality. Unique user interface.

Expensive. Lacks network connectivity and Web services. Middling black levels.

When you buy the VideoWave II, you also get the Bose White Glove treatment, which includes delivery and setup of your HDTV. The company will hook the set up to your existing A/V components, configure the audio to your specific room using proprietary...

Bose VideoWave II is on the wall

The first Bose VideoWave impressed with its surround sound, but the attached TV fell behind the times. The VideoWave II looks more likely to sweep us off our feet.

Bose VideoWave Entertainment System

The Bose VideoWave delivers the best sound and picture combination that money can buy.

Superb audio output. Crisp HD and SD picture. Dark blacks. Innovative remote and user interface.

Expensive. Bulky cabinet. Lacks Ethernet connectivity. No TV tuner.

Picture settings are limited. There are two picture modes, Normal and Dark Room, with the latter having reduced brightness and backlighting settings. You can adjust brightness, contrast, color, tint, sharpness, backlight, and color temperature in the...

Bose VideoWave

The Bose VideoWave is a TV with a built-in sound-bar that places the emphasis on convincing, quality surround sound and deep, subwoofer-like bass.

Bose Videowave first look

It's meant to be the 'best sounding TV' ever... but is the cost worth it?

Husbands purchase

My husband wanted this tv. He wasn't 100% happy with it. But that's most likely because we don't have a blue ray player to take advantage of the picture and sound quality. The demo on the system shows you the television at its best. My husband wanted...

Surround with no wires to speakers and not speakers everywhere.

Needs set top box, need quality material for its full effect
