Tannoy raises the temperature with this superb Mercury speaker system

Highly detailed and cohesive sound ; Good sense of scale ; A lot of speaker for the money

Sugar Maple finish and dull design ; Subwoofer requires careful integration

Don’t let the looks deceive you – Mercury Vi is a superb performer, making it great value for money.

Stylish speakers that can add a very likeable sound to their resume, these are well worth auditioning

Solid presentation ; Detailed, clear sound ; Dynamically expressive ; Sturdy bass ; Elegant finish

Fussy with placement ; Harsh treble ; Short on finesse

Do the Tannoys have what it takes to run with the big dogs? In a nutshell, yes.

hcc recommended

‘If it ain't broke don't fix it' goes the saying, but no-one told Tannoy. Its affordable Mercury V speaker system blew my socks off back in 2012, but that hasn't stopped the company tinkering with the fifth-generation blueprint in a bid to further pimp...

Fantastic detail reproduction; smooth, easy sound; deep, agile bass; great value

Needs a touch more snap; sub not the easiest to integrate; uninspired design

Twin d'Appolito main drivers pack more punch at the price

Good dynamic expression ; Warm, restratined balance

A little warm and rich in lower-to-mid frequencies

Twin d'Appolito two-way is handsome enough, and delivers an engrossing and entertaining sound

my second best audio purchasing (first was promitheus transformer pasive preamp)very detailed sound but not agressive highs, easy to drive, efficient, "punchy" low end...

at that price, nothing really (you know, I would like deeper bass but at these size and price, but it may be difficult...)

Great sound stage and stereo imaging. [I also use them as part of a 5.1 surround sound system]. Sharp highs, well rounded mid and a great bass without being over powering. I find they suit all my listening mediums well. [bluray, cd, vinyl etc] They are...

haven't found any yet.

very similar sound to the f1 mercury custom speakers by tannoy which i owned but with better bass if that is important to you. Dont seem to need a lot of space to breath so in a relatively small room this is not a problem Am running them with Naim Nait...

for the money nothing i can think of

Great value, much better than small and nasty all-in-one system speakers they replaced.

Binding posts on the back could be a bit better.
