Elac Debut B6 review

A bold and punchy pair of stereo speakers...

Bold, spacious sound ; Plenty of detail ; Decent balance

Doesn’t match dynamics or level of expression of class leaders

They don’t quite reach the heights of the Award-winning Monitor Audio Bronze 2s, but there’ll be plenty who prefer the boldness and punch of the Elac Debut B6s

ELAC Debut B6 review

When Andrew Jones designs a loudspeaker, we sit up and take notice.

The ELAC Debut B6 bookshelf speakers look sharp, and boast excellent sound for a bargain price. Home theater buyers can easily partner the Debut B6 with ELAC's matching Debut Series tower, center and subwoofer.

The Debut B6 is only available in a black vinyl finish.

The ELAC Debut B6 bookshelf speakers offer stellar, best-in-class sound quality that no other speakers can match at this low price.

The Best Bookshelf Speakers for Most Stereos

We've updated our review of the best bookshelf speakers with a new top pick, the ELAC Debut B6, which sounds as good as our former top pick and costs a lot less.

Loud

Clean treble, surprisingly deep bass and ability to go very loud, really very good, you could pay ten times as much. There is a new version out, the 6.2 but costs more being new.

Natural sounding speakers with believable bass

To my ears these are the best sounding speakers in and around this price point . Sure , all rivals offer a prettier box , and others are either more detailed in the treble have better dynamics etc . But if you want a musical speaker that plays a sax...

Rich sound for poor folk

I currently have these as the front R and L for a living room surround sound. So far I am very pleased with the quality. They reinvigorated my iPod collection and give life to ordinary television viewing. The bass is also strong enough, that I moved my...
