ATC SCM11 (2013) review

Best standmounter £800-£1200, Awards 2015. ATC has struck gold again in 2016. These are the most talented standmounters anywhere near this price

Fine rhythmic drive ; Agile and precise ; Clean, neutral balance ; Subtle dynamics ; Hugely transparent

Nothing of note

Best standmounter £800-£1200, Awards 2015. Top class all-rounders whose subtlety and transparency remain untouched

ATC SCM11 review

A compact speaker that delivers lashings of detail

Very high levels of detail ; Admirably neutral tonality ; Surprisingly extended in the bass ; Good imaging

Needs a powerful amp ; Ultimate loudness somewhat limited ; Accuracy can disappoint with heavily produced rock and pop

A very fine little speaker that's at its best with good, natural recordings where it adds little and reveals much

ATC SCM 11 review

Best standmounter £700-£1500, Awards 2011. One of the most honest and transparent speakers out there - a delight to listen to

Versatile, balanced sound ; smooth and subtle with decent power and weight ; insightful vocals

The strength of the EB Acoustics EB2s

Best standmounter £700-£1500, Awards 2011. Get the rest of your system right and the ATCs will take you straight to the heart of the recording. What more can any Award winner give?

ATC SCM 11 (2013)

Best standmounter £800-£1500, Awards 2013. ATC has struck gold again. These are the most talented standmounters anywhere near this price

Versatile, balanced sound ; Smooth and subtle with fine power and weight ; Insightful, expressive vocals

Nothing of note

The new SCM11s are a drastic improvement over an already talented performance, and they have the good looks to match. ATC has raised the bar it set itself. This isn’t just a step up – it’s a running leap.

ATC SCM11

ATC may not be the biggest player in loudspeakers, but the company's standing is high. Not just in hi-fi; ATC is well-respected in the pro-audio world, too. Originally the range made absolutely no concessions to budget

Very high levels of detail, Admirably neutral tonality, Surprisingly extended in the bass, Good imaging

Needs a powerful amp, Ultimate loudness somewhat limited, Accuracy can disappoint with heavily produced rock and pop

A very fine little speaker that's at its best with good, natural recordings where it adds little and reveals much

Bit short on romance, needs plenty of power

If you want pinpoint precision at sensible prices, the ATC SCM11 might just be the best there is...

Incredible resolution, very solid bass, high power handling

Bit short on romance, needs plenty of power

The SCM11 is a typical ATC - heavily engineered, finely finished and straightforward to look at. It has a pro-style flat response that reveals rather more than most, especially at high frequencies, yet it's not bright and goes loud in a controlled...

INCREDIBLE SPEAKER, JAWDROPPING RESOLUTION, THEY SING !

ATC are the leaders in studio speakers, and its not hard to see why - they offer a true reproduction of the signal, and can handle anything you throw at them. they leave you wanting more and more, way ahead of anything else imo. well worth tracking...

the ATC'11s present the signal as it was intended by the musician, no colouration - not bright or harsh, no distortion at lower levels. they offer up an incredible soundscape, very engrossing. solid build, timeless design, a win for substance over...

none whatsoever
